5-Signs You Are In a Healthy Relationship

5-Signs You Are In a Healthy Relationship

1. You both make an effort to be kind.

An act of kindness can be something as small as sending a text saying, “good luck!” before a big meeting or grabbing your partner’s favorite snack from the grocery store without them asking. Kindness goes a long way in building feelings of love and safety in a relationship.

2. Your partner trusts you and you trust them.

There is no need to go through each other’s phones because you trust one another’s intentions and behavior. There is no questioning after a night out with friends about who you each talked to and what was said. The trust is solid and mutual.

3. You feel safe asking for what you need from each other.

Whether it’s emotionally, physically or sexually, you and your partner can communicate openly about what you need and want in your relationship.

4.  You are friends.

You are romantic partners, but you also turn to each other for advice, talk about your day to day activities and have fun together outside of the bedroom.

5. You accept each other the way you are right now.

You both understand that nobody is perfect and you don’t try to change each other to make the other person who you think they should be. You embrace each other’s quirks as part of what makes them the unique person that you were attracted to in the first place.
