The first episode of The Guiding Compass. I will be interviewing my dear friend and colleague Monica Neris who is an associate social worker in Los Angeles, Ca. Monica will be discussing the impact of social media, how to talk to teens about their online presence and staying safe online.
ABOUT MONICA
Monica Gisele Neris is an associate clinical social worker from Chicago who is passionate about promoting healthy relationships, empowering of girls and women, eradicating the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) and promoting a healthy and informed use of technology. Monica currently practices in a community mental health agency that assists mainly low-income children and families in Los Angeles in addition to providing clinical field supervision to graduate social work students pursuing their master's degree in social work. In her spare time, Monica volunteers with the Junior League of Los Angeles, writes a lifestyle blog called Gisele Chic and spends as much time as possible enjoying all the wonderful things the city of Los Angeles has to offer with many friends and family.
